Oral History collection

Please note that currently all recordings in the Oral History Collection are closed.

The Rothschild Archive commenced its Oral History programme in 1995. Since that time, trained staff of the Archive have undertaken over 25 interviews with former Rothschild staff, colleagues and family members, following Oral History Society best practice guidelines.

Currently all interviews are closed to researchers, and the names of participants in the programme remain confidential. Interviewees have been selected at all levels in the organisation, including both senior staff and support staff, and represent Rothschild business, both in the UK and offices around the world.

Early interviews exist on cassette tape; most are in the process of being converted to digital format. New interviews are recorded digitally. Included in some interviews are paper files of further notes and transcripts.

The Rothschild Archive Oral History programme is ongoing.
