(Charlotte) Evelina Rothschild, Mrs Clive Behrens, (1873-1947)
Charlotte Louise Adela Evelina Rothschild was born on 3 April 1873, the only daughter of Nathaniel Mayer and Emma Rothschild. She was always known by her last name, Evelina. She married Clive Behrens on 4 October 1899 and moved to Yorkshire to live at Swinton Grange, Malton, where the couple's three children were raised.

Large leather family bible (Biblia Sacra Polyglotta) with heavy gold decoration and silk lining, featuring the Rothschild family crest. Inscribed in gold lettering 'Presented by the Teachers and Pupils of the Jews' Free School, Bell Lane, Spitalfields to the Hon. Evelina Rothschild on the occasion of her marriage to Lieutenant Clive Behrens, 4th October 1899. "The word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto to my path" '. In manuscript on front pages is a list of the Behrens family births, marriages and deaths to 1934.
