Béatrice Caracciolo was born in São Paulo, Brazil and raised in Italy. She studied in New York at NYU and Columbia University, before pursuing an art curriculum at the New York Studio School. She has had numerous exhibitions of her works in the United States and Europe since the 1990s, and was the subject of a retrospective at the Villa Medici in Rome in 2010. For the past decade, Beatrice Caracciolo has experimented with a variety of materials, starting with her trademark charcoal drawings in which collaged elements often come to the fore. She has developed a series of works in zinc. She lives and works in Paris and has a studio in New York.
