Rothschild Canada

Rothschild can trace its first links with Canada back to the 1830s. More recently, in the 1950s, N M Rothschild & Sons, led by the late Mr Edmund de Rothschild was one of the founder partners of the British Newfoundland Development Corporation (BRINCO), created to develop the province of Newfoundland.

In1967, Five Arrows Securities Co. Ltd (Toronto) was set up as a Canadian non-resident investment company by the Five Arrows Group, comprising N M Rothschild & Sons, Banque Rothschild, Banque Privée, Banque Lambert and Pierson, Heldring & Pierson. In 1990, Rothschild Canada Inc was established in Toronto to develop the NMR's corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions and investment advisory activities in the region.
