Private clients: Contents of Box 429 'Powers of Attorney' and Box 429A 'Powers of Attorney' c.1870-1971. These boxes were kept in the Bullion Room at old New Court.

  • Box 429A, 'Powers of Attorney' (Obsolete): the box contains numbered folders, No.1-50 each corresponding to a named client or individual. The file were considered 'Obsolete' and filed in a separate box, See Box 429 for a continuation of this file series;
  • Box 429, 'Powers of Attorney': the box contains numbered folders, No.51-179 each corresponding to a named clent or individual, togerther with a small card index of names which cross refers to the files. Inside the box is also a small volume  Box No. 429 Powers of Attorney, Register, which was used to track retrieval and return of files to the box when the papers were in current use.
