The Rothschild Archive London holds a few small accessions of sundry business papers of the firm of M M de Rothschild Frères, Paris, that have been deposited with the Archive. These are described here.
Significant papers of the Paris house may also be found in the Accounts and Correspondence series of records of the London banking house. A 19th century bronze safe, (000/2163/2), formerly in use the offices of de Rothschild Frères, and later displayed in the offices of Banque Rothschild in the rue Laffitte, Paris, is now on display at New Court.
The majority of historic business papers of M M de Rothschild Frères and its successor Banque Rothschild were originally deposited with the French Archives Nationales in 1972. The Trustees of the Rothschild Archive London are now responsible for this large and significant collection of records of de Rothschild Frères which are now deposited with the Archives Nationales du Monde du Travail in Roubaix, France.
